Quilts for Veterans

How we do what we do

The core foundation of Moms Love Quilts project is simple.  It is a project to facilitate the expression of appreciation and gratitude from our citizens to our protectors.  It can not be just from the small team of Moms Love Quilts.  It must be from our people.  Simply and with no complications this is all.

The Moms Love Quilts teams is trying to repair a gap in the conduit between our people and our veterans.  We are the enablers and conduit to let people show our protectors that they recognize what they have given us and that it is appreciated. 

Moms Love Quilts holds events and gatherings to give people the opportunity to express themselves.  These may be signing events at churches, schools, service organization gatherings, special events and any place that people gather.  Finished quilts on a particular theme (service branch, organization, memorials, etc.) or simply blank cloth squares are signed by the men, women and children of the  community.  These squares are then fashioned into quilts.  The signed finished quilts and fabricated squares are then presented, free of charge, to those who have earned the honor and recognition extended. 

This is entirely a labor of love.  Moms Love Quilts is a non profit organization under the laws of the State of Nevada.  There are no paid workers.  Everything is donated; time, art, fabric, thread....  And because our protectors have paid in blood sweat and tears there is never and will never be any charge to them for our love and appreciation.
