Welcome to our website and please explore our mission, our vision and our goals.  By doing so you will understand what we are doing, who we are and why YOU are in fact the soul of this project.

Our mission:

  • To bring our community closer to our veterans
  • To bring to the attention of the community and our veterans the unwritten contract between us
  • To recognize the sacrifices and dedication of our protectors
  • To acknowledge the honor these men and women have earned
  • To educate the next generation in what the cost of our liberties and security are
  • To begin the healing of those unseen wounds suffered by all who have seen the terrible face of war

Our goals:

  • To engage as many of our veterans and other protectors as we can
  • To acknowledge to them that our community and nation recognize the honor they have earned and appreciate the sacrifices they have made for us
  • To remind our community that this is not the unassociated task of one group, but a synergy that supports the nation, our citizens and our protectors
  • To awaken a new dedication in both our protectors and our citizens to building this nation upon the foundations provide by each group
  • To educate the next generation about the price that must be and has been paid for the freedoms and liberties we all enjoy
  • To involve the next generation in the recognition of these heroes and to personally acknowledge the honor they have earned

Our Vision:

To seal a rift that appears to have grown between our nation, our community and our veterans.  No matter the politics of the day, we hope to instill an appreciation in both groups of just what is happening.  Our protectors provide the security for this nation that our citizens then use to build us towards an example for the rest of the world.  We do this by acting as a conduit between our citizens and our veterans.  We provide the means of offering honor and recognition from the  community to our veterans in the form of quilts fashioned from materials donated and created by the community.  These materials are then fashioned into quilts and presented to our protectors.  We also hope to educate our children in the history of this nation and the parts played by each group in building it  to what it is today.

This website is a  collection of these efforts for you to see.  Various events, examples of the quilts, people who participate and the means for you to become involved are all in these pages.  We invite you to take the time to browse the pages.  But we ask that as you do that you also reflect on the meaning of "the unwritten contract", what price was paid and by whom it was paid, for the liberty and freedom you enjoy today.  Do not take these things for granted.  They were never given to us.  They were won at the price of blood, sacrifice, sweat and tears.  Things that you will never find on the commodities market or listed on the big board.  Things given from the heart and soul.

Moms Love Quilts is a non profit organization under the laws of the state of Nevada.  All persons involved are volunteers and there are NO paid employees nor is there other compensation to any member of Moms Love Quilts.  All donations and support is for the sole benefit of our veterans and protectors.
